The Finance Manager will provide broad support across the Finance function to ensure the continued smooth running of operations during a maternity cover period. This is a hands-on role covering a range of responsibilities including management accounts, reconciliations, accounts payable, and regulatory submissions. The selected candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with internal teams and external service providers, and to ensure compliance with internal processes and regulatory requirements.

Position: Finance Manager - Maternity Cover, 1 year definite contract

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and reports.
  • Review and process AP payments, including the preparation of supporting documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of regulatory reports such as BR06, CRD, COREP, and FINREP.
  • Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, suppliers, and internal accounts.
  • Liaise with auditors and coordinate the timely submission of audit documentation.
  • Assist in the update and maintenance of finance policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external service providers as required.
  • Identify and support improvements to internal processes, including potential automation initiatives.
  • Support other finance team members and provide guidance where required.

Requirements
  • Strong attention to detail with good organisational and time-management skills.

  • Analytical mindset with a sound understanding of financial concepts.

  • Proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting systems.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Education and Experience
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar finance role.

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field would be considered an asset

  • Experience in a financial services or regulated environment would be considered an asset.
