Primary Responsibilities:

The Senior Legal Officer will provide specialised legal support through the Bank’s Legal Department, with a particular focus on contract review, credit advisory, and litigation matters. Acting as a key member of the Legal team, the Senior Legal Officer will take ownership of reviewing and drafting legal agreements, advising on credit and security documentation, and supporting with litigation and court processes. The role requires sound legal judgment, strong communication skills, effective/ practical drafting skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a regulated financial services environment.
Primary Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Review, draft, and negotiate contractual agreements and ancillary documentation, ensuring compliance with applicable laws (DORA, BRRD, GDPR, etc.) and the Bank’s legal standards.</li>
<li>Assist in compiling and maintaining the Bank’s Contracts Register (on JIRA) and Contracts Repository, ensuring up-to-date and accurate records.</li>
<li>Draft and periodically review template agreements, letters, and other documentation used by the Bank.</li>
<li>Provide timely legal advice to internal departments (e.g., Credit, IT, Risk, Compliance, HR, Products, Operations) on matters falling within their remit.</li>
<li>Draft and review internal policies &amp; manuals relevant to the Legal Department.</li>
<li>Forward finalized documentation for CEO’s signature and ensure execution protocols are respected.</li>
